Introduction. Get To Know Me.

Thats Me ^

Hellow! Welcome. Let me introduce myself, my name is Jess. I will be turning 30 in May, and uh… well, that’s me, right there, to the right of this text. Looking all kinds of fun, taking selfies in a backfield wearing a sweater in May. Anyway, here’s a bunch of unnecessary little bits of information in case your curious to know more about me.

  • I am from a small town outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, although I can not wait to get back to Florida. Don’t get too attached to any specific location, I feel like I am quite a wonderer right now and I haven’t quite figured out where exactly I will end up. So far all I know is it’s in the south somewhere, probably somewhere in Florida.
  • I grew up on a small farm, riding horses, going to 4-H, and dreaming about traveling the world. I was certainly a busy kid growing up, I rodeoed for a few different associations, when I wasn’t doing that I was either at horse shows with my mom or hunting and fishing with my dad. When I hit high school I added in basketball and softball, and I also did 4-H my entire life. I was all over the place, if I attempted to do all that now I would lose my mind, I don’t know how I did it then.
  • I used to work at both Disney and Universal. Although, I had been a seasonal employee for Disney since I graduated from the Disney College Program in 2014. That was when I fell in love with Florida. I spent a few years traveling to work on weekends and holidays from Pennsylvania just so I could keep my job at Disney and have an opening when I was ready to move to Florida. Recently I was let go from Disney due to the coronavirus, but so far I am still currently employed for universal.
  • I have a degree in Digital Design, which is a fancy way of saying graphic design, but I am not sure if or when I will really start taking full advantage of it. Graphic design has always been a love of mine, and I always been a crafty person, but I just haven’t found that perfect job for me in the field yet. I interned for the CDC in their design department, which wasn’t for me. I even tried working at a little t-shirt shop designing shirts for a summer and that wasn’t much of a fit either, so who knows where I will end up with that.
  • I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 2015, I have never and probably will never take medication for it. When I was first diagnosed with hypothyroidism, I was prescribed the medication, but after talking to a few doctors, and doing some research I learned that most of the problems with thyroid revolve around, how much physical activity you do, and what your eating. So I went on a path to fix it on my own. I don’t believe I have ever fully fixed it, mostly because I am too lazy to give up the crappy food I love, but hopefully, this year will be a bit different.
  • I believe I was meant to end up in Florida….. I think. I love the sun and the heat, it can never be too hot for me. Winters make me sad. I love the outdoors and all outdoor activities, kayaking, boating, hiking, swimming. I would say I am pretty much a sun bum. Wanna teach me to surf? Id love that too!
  • I have 2 dogs, first my Rottweiler. Let me tell you how ferocious she is. I’m kidding she is literally the calmest dog in the world. She is my best friend, my rock and I wouldn’t know what to do without her, she is my rock. my world. And second, the new member, a little Blue Heeler. He is a wild child. Full of energy and chaos. He brings so much laughter into my life.

I also am a huge procrastinator, I bite my nails, and I am the most organized disaster you’ll ever meet. I think I am extraordinarily average really. Anyway, I think that’s enough little bits and pieces of fun information about me. I am sure throughout my posts you’ll learn more and more as we go. If you want to know more about why I decided to start this blog read here. Enjoy!!
