In the Spirit of Disney World.

In the spirit of celebrating that Walt Disney World is finally opening back up this month I thought it would be a great time to post something to support my favorite place in the entire world. So naturally we are going to start in my favorite park. Animal Kingdom. Here are some of my favorite must do attractions in Animal Kingdom, along with some of my favorite photos that I have taken in the park.

Must Do’s When Visiting Animal Kingdom.

  1. Avatar – Almost the most obvious choice. Although I will say that the Flight of Passage ride is one of my all time favorite rides ever ridden, just seeing the land has to be on the list. Sometimes the wait times in this area is way too long to wait, and honestly I would never wait more than an hour or two for something otherwise your basically wasting too much time that you could spend doing something else.
  2. Kilimanjaro Safari – Another one of my favorite attractions, great for the whole family. Riding these giant safari trucks through the land while getting to experience all the animals is pretty awesome to me, plus you get to sit for a little bit, which is a rare thing in Disney.
  3. The Lion King Show – Everyone hates shows in Disney I swear that’s all I hear every time I try to take someone to this show, but this is by far my favorite Disney show, with exception of nightly fireworks. The Festival of The Lion King is full of singing, dancing, acrobats and other absolutely stunning things that will keep you entertained.
  4. Yak and Yeti Restaurant – Literally my absolute favorite restaurant. Both the food and drinks are delicious.
  5. The Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail and The Maharajah Jungle Trek – Two awesome walking trails where you can see everything from birds and bats to gorillas and tigers. I love walking these trails when I am not quite in the mood to stand in a long line but I also don’t want to sit and do nothing. Also a great place to take the kids to see some awesome animals.
  6. Flame Tree Barbecue – This is probably my favorite quick service location in Animal Kingdom currently. If you like bbq food then I would highly recommend it for a quick bite.

… Also if you have little kids

  1. The Boneyard, in Dinoland USA – There is an awesome digging dinosaur bone pit that I always love taking my little cousins to. It’s a great place for everyone to relax for a bit while the kids play. On one side is the digging pit, on the other there are slides and climbing stuff for the kids to just burn some energy. Dinoland is also home to most of the little kids rides, so you can always knock out that entire area.
  2. The Wildlife Express Train and Rafiki’s Planet Watch – Another awesome place for little kids, where you get to take the Wildlife Express Train (another chance to sit) out to a little petting zoo. There’s also snakes and other amphibians there that are kind of neat to look at.
  3. Its Tough To Be a Bug Show – Depending on how your kids are with creepy crawlies the Its Tough to be a Bug Show is absolutely adorable for kids and adults too. It is a nice 3D show using the characters from the Disney Animated Film A Bugs Life. There is a slightly scary part where fake spiders come from the ceiling so be prepared for that, we don’t need any kiddos crying after my suggestion.
  4. The Tree of Life Show – Although I do love the Rivers of Light Show, I tend to use that time to get into lines for attractions I didn’t get done earlier. I do however always try to catch some of the end of the night show on the Tree of Life, they really make it come to life and to me thats really cool.
P.S. Stay tuned for a post like this on each park, and lots more Disney related stuff.
