Last weekend we were lucky enough to spend the morning drinking our coffee in a sunflower field at a local sunflower festival. Schwirian Farm is doing their annual sunflower festival and guess what? It’s free. The farm is located at 392 William Penn Road, Monongahela, Pa 15063. The Festival runs from July 17 – July 25 so you still have time to go! The fields are open from 8 am – 8 pm daily. The Facebook page also says they will have food trucks as well. When we were there they did have two different food trucks one for coffee and one for some snacks.
Wondering around the sunflower fields was a big first for me. Something I have never done before, and now I will be looking forward to doing it every year. I may actually make another stop this weekend for fun and to grab a few more photos. I would love to catch some sunrise or sunset phots. They also allow you to pick your own sunflowers for a fee, so of course, we had to do that too! So if you get a chance to go check out a sunflower field go do it!
